Help Profiles

Profiles

Make profiles one at a time or in a batch, read the list and its columns, and work on many profiles at once.

A profile is one browser of its own: its own cookies and logins, its own proxy, its own fingerprint. Use one profile per account, and the accounts cannot be linked through the browser.

Make a profile#

Press New profile at the top left. In a team, open the project it belongs to first (why). Name it, pick its proxy, press Create. Every setting in that window is explained in Edit profile.

  • The name can stay empty, as in AdsPower. The list then shows the profile by its number in grey: its custom number when it has one, otherwise its number on this computer (No.).
  • The proxy can come later. A profile without a proxy is saved and listed with No proxy, and it does not open until it has one: it never opens on this computer's own connection (A profile without a proxy).

The Add many… menu above the list makes more than one:

Several profiles at once#

Add many…, then Several profiles…. Choose How many (1 to 500) and the Names: {n} in the name is replaced by the number, so Shop {n} gives Shop 1, Shop 2 and on. Choose one proxy for all of them, or None yet to give each its own afterwards (Proxy →, Each its own). Each profile gets its own device and fingerprint, spread over real computers in the proportions they really have.

Stage, sites, languages, zone, note… opens the rest. Leave languages and time zone empty to follow each proxy's country, the safer choice. Save these answers as a template… keeps the answers (never a device or a fingerprint) for next time.

From a spreadsheet (CSV)#

Add many…, then Import CSV…. One row is one profile. Paste from a spreadsheet or choose a file; the separator and the header are recognised. Columns, in any order: name, proxy, tags, status (the stage), notes, start_urls, timezone, languages, persona. Other columns are ignored. The proxy column takes the label of a proxy you already have, or a proxy line in any format the paste reads; new lines become proxies first.

From another anti detect browser#

Add many…, then From another anti-detect… brings profiles over from GoLogin, Dolphin, AdsPower, Undetectable, Kameleo or Vision, through that app's own API: name, notes, tags, start page, proxy and cookies. The fingerprint is not copied: each profile gets a real device of the same system, so sites see a new computer on the same proxy. The window says where to find the token for each app.

All three make profiles in the team project that is open, and ask for one first when none is. A profile that comes without a proxy is made without one, says so on its row, and opens once it has one. The team's plan counts them. Proxies come in sealed with the team key; imported cookies go in through the profile's own browser, opened without a window and closed again, so they are saved to the team.

The list#

Click Profiles on the left for every profile, or a project to see only its profiles. Click a column's name to sort by it, click again to reverse. Names sort the way people count: Profile 2 before Profile 10.

The columns#

ColumnWhat it shows
No.The profile's serial number on this computer. Scripts can start a profile by it (API).
Custom no.Your own number or code, like 17 or DE-04, the same for everyone in the team.
NameThe profile's name, with its icon before it. A profile without a name shows its number, in grey. Always shown.
IDThe long id. Click it to copy.
ProjectWhich project it lives in.
PlatformsWhich accounts it is for, as small badges on one line. When they do not all fit, +N stands for the rest; hover it for the whole list.
ProxyIts proxy, and a warning when several profiles share one exit. No proxy when it has none: it does not open until it has one.
IPWhere its proxy came out the last time it was checked or opened.
TagsYour tags.
NotesThe profile's notes.
StatusOpen here, in use by someone, or idle; and its stage. See Status.
VA timeOwner and admins only. Who was active in this profile in the last 24 hours and for how long: the minutes of everyone together, the name of the person with the most time when the column is wide enough, and how many people when there were several. Click it for each person's minutes. Active means the profile's window in front and the mouse or keyboard in use. The same minutes go to SableSpace. VAs do not see this column.
Last openedWhen. Hover it for the exact time and, in a team, who opened it.
On serverHow much the team server keeps of it (cookies, history, site data; not caches).
CreatedWhen it was made.

Profile icons#

Each profile can have an emoji or a small picture before its name, to tell accounts apart at a glance. It shows in the list, in a VA's tiles under Users, VAs, in Shared with me and in the quick search (Ctrl K or Cmd K).

  • Set it in the profile window, Overview, Icon, or from the row's More menu, Icon….
  • Pick one of the emojis, type any other emoji, or press Upload a picture…. SablePower cuts the middle square out of the picture and makes it 64 by 64 pixels (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or BMP; never SVG). Remove takes the icon away.
  • Changing it needs the right to change the profile's name, tags and notes. Everyone who sees the profile sees its icon. Sites never do: it is not part of the browser.
  • Duplicate gives the copies the same icon when Tags, notes and start pages is ticked.

Choose the columns#

The Columns button, the three bars at the right end of the column names, opens the list of columns: tick the ones you want. Your choice is remembered for you on this computer. Back to the default columns undoes it. A fresh install shows what fits a normal laptop screen; ID, Project, IP, Tags, Notes, Created and On server are one tick away.

Column widths#

Every row in the list is the same height and every value stays on one line. Text that does not fit its column ends with …; point at it to read all of it.

  • To make a column wider or narrower, drag the right edge of its name. Each column has a smallest width.
  • Double-click that edge to fit the column to what it holds.
  • With the keyboard: press Tab until the edge is focused, then the arrow keys (Shift for bigger steps), Enter to fit.
  • The widths are remembered for you on this computer. Back to the default widths, in the Columns list, undoes them.
  • When a row's buttons are wider than usual, for example Ask to close on a profile someone else has open, the Name and Proxy columns give up a little room so every column's name stays in view. A column you sized yourself keeps its width.
  • When the columns are wider than the window, the list scrolls sideways. The buttons at the end of each row stay where they are, with a shadow on their edge while columns run under them.
  • The search box looks through names, custom numbers, platforms, notes, tags, devices, proxies and exit IPs.
  • All tags and Any stage narrow the list to one tag or one stage, or to profiles with none.
  • Open (n) shows only the profiles open on this computer.

Status#

  • In use here: open on this computer.
  • In use, with a name and a computer: someone else has it open. See In use on another computer.
  • Idle: free to open.
  • Set a proxy: you pressed Open on a profile without a proxy. Give it one (how), then open it.

The stage (new, warming, ready, working, paused, limited, banned, or your own word) says where the account is. Set it in the profile window.

When something about a profile contradicts itself, for example a time zone fixed to one country on a proxy in another, the row says so and Open is off until it is fixed: Fix before opening, with the reason on hover.

The buttons on a row#

ButtonWhat it does
Open / CloseOpens the profile in its own window; Close saves it to the team.
Arrow beside Open or CloseThe Open menu: the browser, or one of the profile's platforms as an app window.
Ask to close / Take overThe owner and admins, on a profile someone else has open: Ask to close has their SablePower close and save it, then it opens here; Take over appears only when their SablePower has stopped answering. Everyone else sees Ask them to close it. See One person at a time.
PencilEdit: the profile window (Edit profile).
Three dotsThe More menu.
BinDelete: to the Trash. Close the profile first.

The More menu#

  • Access: give this profile to one person, or see who has it (below).
  • Extensions & disk: the extensions in this profile (Add a .crx…, Remove) and its size on disk. Clear cache frees space and never touches the login: cookies, storage and history stay.
  • Duplicate: copies of this profile. A window asks what the copies take from it (below).
  • Icon…: its emoji or picture (Profile icons).

The menu shows only what you are allowed to do with that profile.

Duplicate a profile#

Duplicate in a profile's More menu, or Duplicate… above the list for every ticked profile, opens a window that asks what to copy, as AdsPower does.

  • Copies: from 1 to 30 at a time. With several profiles ticked, that many of each, and at most 500 in all.
  • Name: Same name with a number gives Anna 1, Anna 2 and so on, counted for each original. New name with a number gives one name to all the copies, numbered from 1 across all of them. The number goes at the end, or where you type {n}. Leave the new name empty and each copy is called by its number alone: 1, 2, 3, going on from the highest number already in the list, so a second batch does not start at 1 again. The window shows the first and the last name before you make them.

What to copy#

TickWhat the copies takeAt first
ProxyThe original's proxy. Unticked, the copies get No proxy: set one per copy later, so new accounts never share a proxy used elsewhere by accident; or choose one proxy for all of them. A copy without a proxy opens once it has one: tick the copies, Proxy →, Each its own.Off
Cookies and loginsThe original's browser data: cookies, site data, saved passwords and history, so the copies are signed in where it is. The original must be closed.Off
Account informationThe logins in its Account tab: platform address, account, password and 2FA key.Off
Tags, notes and start pagesIts tags, its notes, the pages it opens with and its icon. Untick it and the copies start with none.On
ExtensionsThe extensions installed in it, with the same ids, so their data comes back when Cookies and logins is ticked too. A team profile keeps its extensions in its browser data, so for a team profile this follows Cookies and logins. On

Always copied: the device (system, browser version, screen and the other fingerprint settings), the time zone, the languages, the platforms, the project and the other settings. Never copied: the stage, the custom number and the fingerprint itself.

Two profiles signed in to one account from two different devices can get the account checked by the site. Copy cookies and logins to have a spare of an account, not to work in it from two profiles at once.

The fingerprint of a copy#

Each copy gets a new fingerprint of the same device kind: the same system, browser and screen as the original, with its own canvas, audio, WebGL and font readings. Copies with the same fingerprint look like one device to sites, which links their accounts, so there is no choice to keep it.

On a team#

  • Duplicating needs the right Create profiles in the original's project. Without it, Duplicate is not offered.
  • Cookies and logins needs Export cookies and the bundle, and Account information needs See passwords (rights). A VA without one sees that tick greyed out; point at it to read why. The team server refuses it too.
  • A team profile that someone has open cannot have its cookies copied until it is closed. The other ticks work while it is open.
  • The copies count toward the plan. If they do not fit, none are made and SablePower says how many profiles the plan allows (plans).
  • Every duplicate is in the Activity log: who made it, from which profile, with which ticks, and the copies it made.

Copies are separate profiles. Changes made to the original later do not reach them.

Open ▾ and app windows#

An app window is a site opened the way an installed app opens: in a window of its own, with no address bar and no tabs. It runs inside the profile, so it has the profile's logins, fingerprint and proxy, and the site sees the profile's IP, not your computer's.

  • The Open button opens the browser, as always.
  • The arrow beside it opens the Open menu: Browser, then one line per platform of the profile, such as Instagram app or Telegram app. Pick one and the profile opens as that app.
  • When the profile is already open on this computer, the arrow sits beside Close and the same menu adds a window: New browser window, or an app. Never a second copy of the profile.
  • An app chosen for a profile that is open in its browser closes it the usual way (a team profile is saved to the team first) and opens it again as that app; the row says Reopening as Instagram app… meanwhile. That way the app window looks exactly like an installed app to the site. A profile already open as an app gets the new app window beside the first one.
  • If the running browser ever does not take a window, SablePower does the same: it closes the profile and opens it again as the window you chose. You never get an error for it, and never a second copy.
  • The platforms come from the profile window, Platforms. With none, the menu says where to add them.
  • If an app window does not open, the row's Status says Not opened in red. Point at it to read why (for example the proxy refused the login), and the bar at the top of the list says the same. It goes away the next time you open or close the profile.
  • If the proxy refuses the app's own site, the app window is not opened, and the row says which site: Proxy blocks with tiktok.com under it, and the reason and what to do on hover (more). Check proxy says beforehand which platforms a proxy lets through. A refusal of some other site the app asks for, while the app itself opens, is not shown.

Keyboard: Tab to the arrow, Enter or Space opens the menu, the arrow keys move, Enter opens, Escape closes it.

Which address an app opens#

Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Threads, Reddit, Telegram, YouTube, Discord, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, WhatsApp and the other common platforms open their own web app (Telegram opens web.telegram.org/a/, Discord its app page, Snapchat its web page). A platform you typed yourself, such as "Shop B2B", has no address yet: its line reads Shop B2B: open as app… and opens the profile window, App windows, where you type the address once. It must start with https://. It is kept on the profile, for everyone who opens it. You can also give a known platform another address there, for example a regional Amazon.

What opens with an app window#

  • Opened from a closed profile, only the app window opens: not the start page with the IP check, not the profile's start pages, and not the tabs from last time. Those tabs stay saved and come back the next time you open the browser with Open.
  • If you open the browser while the app window runs (New browser window), it starts with the start page, not with the tabs from last time, and what you then open is what is saved when you close. Chrome itself works this way.
  • When the profile was open in its browser and is reopened as an app, its tabs are saved by the close and come back the next time you open the browser with Open.
  • Closing the last window closes the profile, as with the browser; a team profile is then saved to the team.

On a Mac and on Windows#

  • Windows: each app window gets its own button on the taskbar, with the site's name. It cannot be pinned to the taskbar: a pinned window would start the profile without its proxy and fingerprint, so SablePower blocks that, for browser windows too.
  • Mac: app windows belong to the profile's own icon in the Dock, the one named after the profile. Switch between them with that icon or with Cmd and the key above Tab.

Why not the real app installed on the computer?#

A program installed on your computer talks to the site from your computer: your real IP address, your real machine and its identifiers, and the same for every account you sign in to with it. That links the accounts the profiles keep apart. The app window is the site's own web app, so it gets everything the profile gives the browser: its proxy, its fingerprint, its logins.

Work on many profiles at once#

Tick the boxes at the left of the rows (the box in the header ticks every row shown). A bar appears above the list:

  • Open n and Close n. Opening goes one at a time: a browser needs a moment before the next one starts.
  • The arrow beside Open n: open the selection as one app, for example Instagram app (10) opens each of the 10 profiles as its own Instagram app window. A profile that is already open gets the window in its running browser. Only profiles that have that platform open.
  • Move to…: into another team project. Profiles kept on this computer only show Move to the team instead (below).
  • Give access…: to one person by email address, in this team or not; it appears under Shared with me for them. Choose whether they may open it, change its settings, and see passwords. For the whole team to see a profile, move it into a team project instead.
  • Proxy →: one proxy for all of them, Each its own, which gives every profile a proxy no other profile uses, or No proxy, after which they do not open until each has one again.
  • Duplicate…: copies of every ticked profile, the same number of each (Duplicate).
  • Cookies…, with exactly one profile ticked.
  • Delete n: to the Trash. Close them first.

Cookies#

Tick one profile, then Cookies…. Read from profile shows its cookies as JSON; Write to profile puts cookies in. It takes the JSON a cookie editor extension exports, or the JSON of another SablePower profile. The profile is opened and closed in the background to do it. Cookies without an expiry are session cookies and do not survive the profile closing.

It needs the right Export cookies in the profile's project. A closed profile is opened for it without a window and closed again, so what you import is saved to the team. A team profile's cookies also travel with the profile itself: whoever opens it next is signed in.

Profiles on this computer only#

Up to version 1.6.1 SablePower could be used without an account, and profiles could be kept on one computer only. Since 1.6.2 you sign in, and every profile lives in your team. Profiles still kept on this computer:

  • show a bar above the list: Profiles on this computer only can no longer be opened. Move them to the team to keep them. Their rows have Move to the team where Open was, and a small computer mark beside the name;
  • cannot be opened, copied or edited, by the window, a script or an AI assistant;
  • are never deleted by any of this. Delete still sends one to the Trash, and asks first.

Move to the team, on the bar, on a row, or on a selection, opens one window:

  1. Into the project: the team project they go to. The owner and admins can make a new one here.
  2. Profiles: all of them are ticked; untick any you do not want yet. One that is still open from before cannot be ticked: close it first.
  3. Proxy for the ones without one: a team profile always goes out through a proxy, so a profile that had none gets a team proxy you choose.
  4. Press Move. Each profile goes to the team server encrypted with the team key, with its logins, cookies and proxy, and opens from there for everyone the project is open to. Once it is on the server, its copy on this computer goes to the Trash.

Moving counts toward your plan. The window says how much room the plan has before you move. If the plan is full, the move stops there and says so; the rest stay on this computer, as they were. The owner and admins see See the plans; anyone else asks the team owner. See Plans.

Trash#

Deleting a profile only hides it: a warmed account should not be lost to a stray click. Trash on the left lists deleted profiles.

  • Restore brings one back, as it was.
  • Delete for good removes one with its cookies and browser data. It does not come back.
  • Empty trash does that for all of them.

Profiles in the Trash do not count toward your plan. Restoring one does, so it can be refused at the limit (plans).
