These terms govern your use of SablePower: the SablePower app for Mac and Windows, and the team server we run for it (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
SablePower is a product of Sable Designs. Sable Designs is operated by a registered company. Where these terms say "we" or "us", that is the operator.
1. What SablePower is
- SablePower is desktop software that keeps each account your team runs in its own browser profile, with its own fingerprint, proxy, cookies and saved logins.
- A profile can stay on one computer, or be saved to the team server we host, so the people you let into your team can open it from their own computers, one person at a time.
- The parts of a profile that are the account itself are encrypted on your computer, with your team's key, before they reach our server, and our server never receives that key. The Privacy policy says exactly what our server stores encrypted and what it can read.
- SablePower is not made by, and has no link with, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Telegram or any other site you use it with.
2. Who may use it
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- SablePower is made for people who run accounts as work: agencies, creators and their teams, and the people who help them.
- Whoever opens a team is its owner. The owner is responsible for the people they let into the team, such as members and VAs, and for what those people do with it.
3. Your account and your password
- Your account is your email address and a password. One person per account: each VA gets their own, as a member of your team.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done with your login is treated as done by you.
- We cannot reset your password. It opens your team's key on your computer. Our server checks it when you sign in, over an encrypted connection, and keeps only a hash of it, never the key it opens. If you lose it, and nobody else in your team can let you back in, the encrypted data of your profiles cannot be recovered, by you or by us. Keep it in a password manager.
4. Plans and paying
- There is no free plan. What each plan includes and what it costs is on the SablePower page; the app shows the same prices under Account, Plan and billing. A team without a paid plan has no plan: it keeps what it holds, and no profile opens.
- The free week. Every plan starts with a free trial of 7 days, once per team and once per team owner's email address. The team owner starts it in the app by choosing a plan and a billing period, and gives a card on Stripe's page. Nothing is charged during the week. When the week ends, the card is charged for the first period of the plan the team has then, and the subscription goes on as below, unless it was cancelled before the week ended. A team that already had a free week, whose owner's address already had one, or that already paid by card, pays from the start.
- Cancelling in the free week. Cancel any time before the week ends, in the app (Account, Plan and billing, Manage billing), and nothing is charged at all. The plan runs to the end of the week, then the team has no plan. Three days before the week ends, the team owner gets an email saying when the card is charged and how much.
- Paid plans and their extras are a subscription. The team owner pays by card, through Stripe, every month, every 3 months or every year, as they choose. One payment covers the whole period, in advance. Prices are in US dollars.
- A subscription renews by itself at the end of each period, at the same plan and for the same period, until it is cancelled. Stripe keeps the card on file for it. We never see or hold the card number.
- Cancel any time in the app: Account, Plan and billing, Manage billing. The plan then runs to the end of the period already paid for, no further payment is taken, and the team has no plan. Nothing is deleted when it does: every profile and every person stays, and can still be seen, edited, exported and deleted, but no profile opens until a plan is paid again.
- Changing the plan. In the free week a change applies at once, and nothing is charged before the week ends. After it, a bigger plan, or more extras, is charged at once for the rest of the period already paid for, and applies once that is paid. A smaller plan, or fewer extras, applies at once, and the days not used come off the next invoice as a credit. Moving to another billing period starts the new period that day, with what is left of the current one taken off its first payment.
- A payment that does not go through, a renewal or the first payment when the free week ends. Stripe tries the card again over the next days, and the plan stays while it does, for 21 days at most. If the last try fails too, the team has no plan from the end of the time paid for, or after those 21 days. Paid later, the plan comes back.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. A change never touches a period you have already paid for. Before a new price applies to your subscription, we tell the team owner by email at least 30 days ahead, and you can cancel before it does.
- What can be refunded, and how, is in Refunds and cancellation. Read it before you buy.
5. What you may not use it for
SablePower is for running accounts you own, or that you are allowed to run for someone else. You must follow the rules of every site you use it with. You may not use the Service, or let anyone use it, for:
- Fraud of any kind: deceiving people or businesses to take their money, data or accounts; phishing; using stolen cards, accounts or identities.
- Spam: unwanted messages, comments, follows, posts or emails sent in bulk.
- Buying, selling, renting or trading accounts, or using SablePower to supply them.
- Selling engagement or traffic: followers, likes, views, comments, reviews, clicks or visits, whether by people or by automation.
- Taking over accounts that are not yours, or getting into accounts, systems or data without permission.
- Harassment, threats, or pretending to be a real person in order to deceive.
- Anything illegal where you are or where we are, including any sexual content involving anyone under 18. There is no exception to that rule.
- Harming the Service: attacking or overloading our team server, getting around its limits, or reselling access to it without our written agreement.
Breaking these rules is a breach of these terms. We may suspend or close a team for it (section 8), and report it to the authorities where the law asks us to.
6. Your data is yours
- What you put into SablePower, your profiles and their data, is yours. We claim no ownership of it.
- You give us only what we need to run the Service: to store your team's data on our server, back it up, and hand it back to the people in your team.
- How we handle it, who else sees what, and how long it is kept: the Privacy policy.
7. The sites you use it with
- Each site has its own rules, and you are responsible for following them.
- Sites can check, limit or close accounts at any time, for their own reasons. We do not promise that a site will accept any account, profile or proxy, and we are not responsible for what a site does to an account.
- Proxies come from your own provider, under its own terms.
8. Suspending or closing a team
- We may suspend or close an account or a team if it breaks these terms, if its use puts us at legal risk, or if we stop offering the Service.
- This is a decision made by a person. Nothing is automatic. Where the law and safety allow, we tell the team owner why.
- If we close a team because it broke these terms, the time left on its plan is not refunded. See Refunds and cancellation.
- You can stop using SablePower whenever you like. To close your team and have its data deleted from our server, the team owner writes to us. The Privacy policy says what is deleted and what is kept.
9. Free software
SablePower includes software under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later (the AGPL). That licence gives you rights over that software, which these terms do not take away. The source code of the version you run, our changes included, is available on request at [email protected].
10. The Service is provided as it is
- We do not promise the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. It runs on rented servers and on other companies' networks, and those go down.
- Updates can change, add or remove features. We do not promise that any one feature will keep existing.
- SablePower comes with no warranty, to the extent the law allows.
11. Limits on what we owe you
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for lost profit, lost data, lost accounts, lost opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss.
- Our total liability to you, for everything, is capped at the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars, whichever is greater.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
If you are a consumer somewhere that gives you rights these terms cannot remove, you keep those rights.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will tell team owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator is registered, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings where you live if that is the only way to enforce these terms.
Nothing in this clause takes away a consumer protection you have where you live that cannot be contracted out of.
14. Getting in touch
Email [email protected]. That address reaches a person, not a team, so allow a few days.
