Questions

Is it free?

Yes, with a free Sable account. Up to 20 files at once.

What is HEVC?

A video format, also called H.265, that iPhones and many Android phones record in. It takes less space, but not every site or browser can play it.

Will it look worse?

At 1080p the difference is hard to see. 720p makes a smaller file.

Which files can I use?

JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone photos (HEIC) up to 40 MB, and MP4, MOV and WebM videos up to 300 MB.
